Odunayo Akinnuwa, an Ambitious, Creative, Trendsetting, Motivational, Go-getter who has recently launched her bold, chic and sophisticated brand -VerbeelByNayo- is someone we all need to keep an eye out for 👀👀. She is definitely going to make Tsunamis' 🌊🌊 in the fashion industry.

She's a 2nd year Fashion Student At FEDISA & in between school, assignments and the struggles that come with being a student, she's managed to finally launch her brand and you can clearly see the efforts & sleepless nights she's put in because she's delivered over and beyond your typical brands.


This is the exclusive interview I had with her.

Describe your brand - who you're targeting marketing wise (Your intended audience).
Verbeels' target market is the middle-class woman that embraces and is confident in her feminine features and aims to stand out in a crowd

When did you decide to create your own brand ? 💆💆
Starting my brand has always been a dream of mine since I was 16, but decided to give it a go earlier this year around April, when I realized the only thing holding me back was fear.

Why did you decide to create your own brand/clothing? 👯
I felt I had a vision that was waiting and eager to be seen and recognized, that alone pushed me to start my own clothing brand.

What inspires you when it comes to your brand? ❤❤
The idea of power and futurism in a pure form is what Verbeel is centered about.


Where do you see yourself and your brand going in the future? 🚀🚀
I forsee my brand as one of the leading fashion brands in Africa.

What governed your decisions in choosing to study fashion?
I felt like it's something I needed before I emerged into the fashion industry. I wanted to learn more. It's all about mastering my craft and that’s what I’m doing, taking steps to be a master of my craft. 😎😎

Describe a typical day in your shoes when you've got school and your side hustles to attend to. 💣
I’m always up by 6:30am preparing for my lectures and practical sessions that go on from 9pm-1am. I then waste a few hours at school to work on my assignments before returning home by 7pm to work more! Ever since I've began school I haven't really had time for anything other than school or work.
