BLACK GIRLS ROCK: Bun in the oven, Still Slaying

"IF YOU WANT IT, THEN GO FOR IT. TAKE A RISK. DON’T ALWAYS PLAY IT SAFE OR YOU’LL DIE WONDERING" 💖

You're going to love this Weeks' Black Girl that rocks as much as I do, because she is the definition of "Doing the things, to make the things to be done". She inspires me, motivates me and gives me hope that as black women and women in general we can literally move mountains, despite a bun in the oven. 🍞🍞 Her name is Yanga Elihle Elle Mangquku , and she's a Black Girl That Rocks! 💃💃💪

What is your definition of a black girl that rocks? ✨✨

"My definition of a black girl that rocks is a Black girl who knows the extent of her worth without having to convince anyone of her magic. "

What did you study? 📝📝

"I studied BA Psychology at the university of Johannesburg"

Do you love what you studied? 📚📚

"Yes I do, a lot actually because it gave me so much insight into the human brain and human behavior. I can now say I'm able to understand everyone from their own perspective and not judge them at all. "

How did it feel when you graduated? 🔥🔥

"I knew right then and there that I'm capable of doing anything I want and being great at it. "

When did you find out you were pregnant? ❗❗

"I found out exactly on the 19th of August 2017. I was almost 5 months pregnant."

How did you feel about being pregnant? 🙋🙋

"Damn! I did about 6 tests, I was in disbelief. I felt so strange but, after doing the scan I became very very excited and I just fell in love with my baby immediately!" 😍

Were/Are your parents Supportive of the pregnancy?
My mom was very, very, very, disappointed at first, but she became used to the idea and two weeks later she was very happy. She gave my baby a name, - I mean it's her first grandchild- so she's very supportive right now. She tells me what to eat, what to wear, what not to wear and she's always asking about the baby everyday. My whole family is supportive and extremely excited to meet him." 💅💅

When Did you tell them you were pregnant?

"I told them immediately after I found out, I couldn't wait. I was like, "This cannot wait, because it's not going anywhere and it's something that's there and  I'm excited and nervous about it". So, immediately after I found out, I told them I was pregnant. We confirmed with scans and everything and that was on the 19th/18th of august. So they knew the day I found out."

How did the father take the news and is he supportive of the pregnancy?

He was shocked at first, he's a man; so he was shocked, scared and didn't  know what to say or do. After like a week, he was super excited. He's very excited right now, he loves his child already and he has also given him a name. He's always asking about our health; if we're fine, what we're doing. He's very supportive, he literally does everything he can  to be there for us. He goes to our appointments with us, so he's very very supportive and he's the most amazing partner anyone could ever ask for.

How did you balance school and being pregnant? 👯👯

"While I was writing exams I didn’t know I was pregnant at all, I literally found out after finishing school. "

How do you manage to Slay while pregnant?

"Girl, I refuse to buy maternity clothes, I am not a fan. I love looking good and pregnancy does not stop me one bit from doing so, plus I still gotta slay for my man boo 😁😁 "

What are your future plans after the birth baby?

"Well I'm currently working for an amazing advertising agency in Cape Town, so after my maternity leave I intend on carrying on with work, doing honors and being a FULL TIME mommy."

Whats next for you and your man? 👪👪

"We're looking to reside within the same province since he stays in Port Elizabeth and I Stay in Cape Town currently. I am however, relocating back home to Centurion soon. So we're looking to stay in the same place because he doesn't want to be far away from us and he wants us to raise our child together. As a couple, we're excited and we're looking forward to the next phase of our relationship of being parents."

Is it a boy or a girl ? - Guys I had to ask, I've been crazy over babies lately.

"Mommy’s little man 👶👶 "

What words of empowerment/encouragement would you give to ladies who are Pregnant and hustling for that degree?

"Babes, it is not the end of the world in its entirety, it's just the end of the world you knew, and the beginning of the rest of your life. Embrace it, and do not let society lie to you and shame you for carrying a life and hustling. The hustle does not have to stop, it continues in full force because right now you have purpose."

"AGAIN: YOU SHOULDN’T HAVE TO CONVINCE ANYONE OF YOUR MAGIC"

❤❤
